About Scouts of the Blue Cross Blue Crescent (SBC)

The Scouts of the Blue Cross Blue Crescent (SBC) is a non-governmental humanitarian agency that is part of the Blue Cross and Blue Crescent movement and being established as a treaty organization of the Conference of the Blue Cross and Blue Crescent Movement (CBCM) as the youth arm of our worldwide humanitarian movement.

As determined in the Charter of the Scouts, and as mandated by the Movement, the mission of the Scouts is to ‘develop a new generation of humanitarians’. Our young Scouts participate within Troop Sections of FBC National Societies District Chapters in a 198 countries.

The Scouts work respects the Movement’s fundamental principles, as defined by the Conference of the Blue Cross and Blue Crescent Movement, notably those of humanitarianism, volunteerism, moralism, transparency, impartiality, empowerment, sustainability, neutrality, benevolence and respect.
